How to find your Google Ads customer ID
Where the 10-digit Google Ads customer ID is shown, and how it is used in chiliad.
The customer ID (often shortened to CID) is the 10-digit number that identifies a Google Ads account. It is written in three groups, for example 123-456-7890.
Where to find it
- In Google Ads: it is shown at the top of the page next to the account name, and in the account switcher when you click your profile.
- In a manager account: the Accounts list shows the customer ID of every client account in its own column.
- In chiliad: every account is listed with its customer ID under the account name, on the Accounts page and anywhere accounts are picked.
Manager ID versus client ID
A manager (MCC) account has its own customer ID, separate from the IDs of the client accounts it manages. When a script runs at manager level, each client account it processes is identified by the client's own ID. That is the ID you will see in a script's run history.
Where you need it
- Matching runs to clients. Run history in chiliad shows the customer ID of the account each run happened in.
- GAQL queries. GAQL Lab runs a query against the account you pick; the ID tells you which one.
- Talking to support or a colleague. The ID is unambiguous where account names are not.
