Google Recommendations Digest
Summarizes all open Google recommendations by type — review them deliberately in your inbox instead of facing the 'Apply all' button, with a standing reminder to keep auto-apply off.

Overview
Google's recommendations are a mixed bag: some genuinely useful (conversion tracking fixes, ad strength), many just spend-more suggestions. This digest counts all open (non-dismissed) recommendations grouped by type, with example campaigns per type, so you review them deliberately on your schedule instead of under the 'Apply all' button. Every email includes the governance reminder that matters most: verify auto-apply is OFF — auto-applied recommendations are how accounts drift into settings nobody chose.
Setup
- 1Open your Google Ads account and go to Tools → Bulk Actions → Scripts.
- 2Click the + button to create a new script and paste the code below.

Notes
The auto-apply setting itself isn't readable via the API — check it manually under Recommendations → Auto-apply (the digest reminds you every week). Dismissed recommendations are excluded. Recommendation types map 1:1 to what the Recommendations tab shows.
