Example prompts for building Google Ads scripts with Claude

These prompts assume the chiliad connector is connected. Replace the names and numbers with your own.

Create a script

• "Write a script that emails me when an account has spent more than 90% of its monthly budget before the 25th. Make the budget and the email address variables. Save it to chiliad."
• "Create a script that lists search terms with more than 50 clicks and no conversions in the last 30 days and writes them to a Google Sheet. The sheet URL should be a per-account setting."

Use the marketplace

• "Find a marketplace script that checks landing pages for errors, install it and tell me which settings it needs."

Set it up for accounts

• "Assign Budget Pacing Monitor to all my client accounts except the manager account."
• "For each assigned account, look up last month's spend with GAQL and set MONTHLY_BUDGET to that amount rounded to the nearest hundred."
• "Show me the current settings for GrowthLab Store and which ones are overrides."

Look at account data

• "Which campaigns in ClickSmart SaaS spent the most in the last 7 days? Use GAQL."
• "Does AdScale Pro have any conversion actions with zero conversions this month?"

Monitor and fix

• "Which of my scripts failed in the last 24 hours?"
• "Negative Keyword Sweep failed on two accounts. Find out why and fix it, and explain the cause first."

Maintain

• "Change the pacing threshold in Budget Pacing Monitor from 90% to 85% for every account."
• "Archive the scripts that have not run in the last 60 days and list what you archived."

Tips

• Name the script and the accounts exactly as they appear in chiliad.
• Ask Claude to explain its plan before it changes several accounts.
• After a new script is created, Claude gives you a loader and setup steps. Pasting the loader into Google Ads and authorizing it is the one step only you can do.
